Please send results and any news items to Web site co-ordinator Lynn Mair e-mail lynnglenauld@aol.com Club News The Scottish Kennel club Scottish Dog of the Year 2007 was held at the Royal Highland Centre Edinburgh on Thursday 15th May 2008 7pm The judges for this year were Mrs Liz Cartledge Mr Jeff Horsewell and Mr Jimmy Simpson who gave marks out of ten in each of the three categories Confirmation Breed Type Movement making a total of 30 max points in each round Three Scottish qualified boxers this year Ch Walkon Made 'n' Issue (did not attend) Ch Diamond Lottery at Glenauld JW Finished in 7th Place from the 30dogs who attended (28 were Champions). Lotto was in first equal with two others (they had the highest marks (24) for Confirmation) after the first round. She was in third place after the second round with third highest marks (23) for Breed Type and after movement round ended up 7th with 68 points the Winner was the Greyhound Ch Mistweave Making Waves who finished on 72points Ch Designer Game at Glenauld JW Now in veteran finished on 59 points which was about 20th place Boxer Event 1st March 2008 This is the highlight of the Boxer year when the Top Puppies and Top Adults from 2007 competed for the title of Pup or Dog of the Year. This year Walkon had two puppies qualified, Walkon Casinoroyale and Roamaro First Issue By Walkon who was 3rd Best Puppy Bitch. Glenauld had 5 puppies qualified Glenauld Tristam JW Sunkap Spellminder at Glenauld JW Glenauld Gryffel Alcomar's the Designer at Glenauld JW and Glenauld Tamara Walkon had four qualified in the adult competion including Ch Walkon Made'n Issue who was 3rd Best Dog. Walkon Bunny Girl, Walkon Atomic Kitten & Ch Walkon Ain't No Saint whom did not attend.

In addition the Annual Awards were presented with Ch Walkon Made'n Issue winning the British Boxer Club's award for Top Boxer 2006 as well as the Boxer Quarterly Award for Top Dog 2007. Walkon won Top Breeder 2007 from the Boxer Quarterly. Glenauld won British Boxer Club Top Kennel Award 2007 Ch Diamond Lottery at Glenauld JW was BQ Runner up Top = Bitch 2007 Ch Designer Game at Glenauld JW was BQ 3rd Top sire 2007.  Suzanne Janice & Lynn receiving their award from David Spencer The whole evening was rounded off with a great dinner dance and a big thank you to all the folks that put in the hard work that goes into organising such an event!
